Commitment to Community

Community Engagement & Professional Background

As licensed music educators, our mission goes far beyond performance. We are committed to serving communities through education, mentorship, and cultural preservation. Through Mariachi Torres—an independent, family-led cultural and educational initiative—we share the beauty of Mexican music while supporting families through learning, access, and opportunity at community events, conferences, and cultural programs.

In addition to his independent work through Mariachi Torres, Mario Torres brings extensive experience from his professional background in public education. He has served in leadership and advisory roles that support cultural arts, STEM pathways, family engagement, and schoolwide improvement. This experience informs the values, integrity, and educational focus that guide all community work conducted through Mariachi Torres.

A Family Rooted in Service

Mariachi Torres is more than a music ensemble—it is a family-led cultural and educational initiative grounded in service and stewardship.

Our family supports community outreach through teaching, performing, and mentoring young musicians in a variety of community and cultural settings. Together, we are committed to helping the next generation access high-quality mariachi education, develop confidence and discipline, and grow with positive role models who honor tradition while inspiring the future.

Family Support & Educational Guidance

We participate in educational conferences and community events where we share guidance and culturally relevant resources with families who support mariachi education. Whether a young musician is learning through a public-school mariachi program, an after-school ensemble, a nonprofit organization, or private instruction, our goal is to help parents feel informed and confident as they navigate their child’s musical journey.

Our focus is to empower families with knowledge so their children can engage meaningfully with the mariachi tradition, develop strong musical foundations, and thrive within this rich cultural art form.
